Welcome to the Namibian Amateur Radio Centre
Dear Radio Amateurs and technically interested friends.
We would like to point out that our repeater again is interfered with the 2m Namibian Amateur Radio League Repeater (V53W) since the third of July.
Multiple interceptions during the last 10 months to the NARL did not resolve the problem. A proposal, solving the problem with the assistance of our technicians, has been rejected.
Our repeater is triggered by interferences from V53W. When it transmitts the QSOs on the V53W are partially understandable on our repeater.
The DTMF-Tones, transmitted on the NARL-Repeater, also react on our repeater and open connections to further stations over EchoLink through our repeater.
Please accept our apologies and turn to the persons in charge, the NARL-President Werner Müller (V51JP) and the NARL-Technical-Officer Robert Schenk (V51RS).

Relocation of WSPR-Beacon V53ARC to the Farm Hannover
Review
Since October 16th 2009 our beacon has been working without any problems in the central city of Windhoek. We have received reports from all over the world, for example from Ernie (NH7L) who is located exactly on the other side of the earth in Honolulu. It is amazing that a 10 MHz signal with 1Watt transmitting power at a vertical broadband rotund emitter with approximately -4,5dBi gain can regularly bridge a distance of 19439km. More >
Windhoek Repeater on 80m, 2m and Echolink, part 2
Digital filtering on 80m, further development of the squelch for short wave, and first experiences with NVIS-antenna technique.
Digital filtering of a short wave signal:
In order to reduce the noise component, and to achieve a better quality of reading both on 2m and on EchoLink, we were looking for a possibility to filter the 80m AF-signal digitally. We have decided in favour of a finished product, and Victor (V51V) has donated the language extractor LINGUA for this purpose. more >
